Cyprus: Arrests for Drunk and Drugged Driving

Cyprus police conducted extensive patrols overnight, leading to the arrest of five individuals. The arrests include cases of driving without a license, driving under the influence of narcotics, and driving under the influence of alcohol (four cases).
During the operations, 968 drivers and passengers were checked, and 56 premises were inspected, resulting in five complaints. Additionally, 234 complaints were made for various traffic violations, including 133 for speeding, 34 for drunk driving, and three for driving under the influence of narcotics. 21 vehicles were impounded.
Police operations continue with the aim of preventing and suppressing crime and increasing the public's sense of security.
