Lambrianidou: Death Contracts Prevented β Investigation into Limassol Murder

Police are conducting intensive investigations into the murder of Stavros Demosthenous in Limassol, according to Police Spokesperson Kyriaki Lambrianidou. Speaking on the show "Enimerosi Tora", Ms. Lambrianidou emphasized the discretion required to protect the investigation.
So far, four arrests have been made in connection with the motorcycle allegedly used by the perpetrators. Among those arrested are the 44-year-old registered owner of the motorcycle, two Greek Cypriots and one Greek national. Their role is being investigated.
Ms. Lambrianidou expressed the police's concern about the manner and timing of the murder, as well as the possible existence of masterminds. She also mentioned that the Police are taking protective measures for potential targets and have prevented death contracts in the past.
Regarding organized crime, Ms. Lambrianidou noted the cooperation with foreign services such as Europol and Interpol. She also confirmed that the possible involvement of persons from the Prison Department is being investigated.
