Larnaca: 19-Year-Old Detained for 8 Days Over 8.5kg Cocaine

The Larnaca District Court issued an 8-day detention order against a 19-year-old girl for the illegal import and possession of 8.5 kg of cocaine.

The arrest took place at Larnaca airport, where YKAN and the Customs Department found 13 packages of cocaine in her luggage, weighing a total of 8.76 kg.

The 19-year-old arrived in Cyprus from Brazil via the United Kingdom. The case is being investigated by the Larnaca District Unit of YKAN.
