Larnaca: Police Officer Arrested for Giving Mobile Phone to Inmate

A police officer has been arrested in Larnaca, accused of giving his mobile phone to an inmate.

According to the police, the Internal Affairs Service arrested the officer based on a court warrant. The officer, who serves in the Larnaca Police Directorate, faces charges of abuse of power, fraud, violation of official secrecy, and corruption.

Specifically, he allegedly gave his personal mobile phone to an inmate, who made calls. Investigations are ongoing.
