Larnaca: Five Arrested for Organized Crime - Weapons Found

Larnaca CID is investigating a case involving participation in a criminal organization, with offenses allegedly committed in the Larnaca district between 2023 and 2025.

On 22/01/2026, five individuals, aged 42, 22, 31, 29, and 29, were arrested, and searches were conducted at their residences. During the searches, €1,050 in cash, jewelry, mobile phones, two bulletproof vests, two replica pistols, and a folding baton were found and confiscated.

A firearm was discovered at one of the residences, leading to the arrest of the owner for illegal possession of a weapon.

The arrested individuals are expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court for the issuance of detention orders.

In a separate operation, a 47-year-old and a 43-year-old were also arrested, while three individuals were arrested for illegally working as security guards and possessing wireless devices.

It is recalled that six individuals were arrested in connection with the shooting incident on 17/01/2026.
