Larnaca: Negligence Allegations Against Hospital After Serious Incident

A 42-year-old woman was found in a comatose state at Larnaca General Hospital, with her family alleging negligence and inadequate care by the hospital.
The patient, who suffered from multiple sclerosis, had undergone a scheduled hysterectomy on January 16. According to the family, after the catheter was removed, the woman tried to go to the restroom alone due to the staff's lack of response, resulting in her being found on the floor.
The family reports that the woman had called a relative to report the lack of assistance. Subsequently, she suffered a second fall, resulting in extensive cerebral hemorrhage. OKYPY is investigating the incident, while the family intends to report the incident to the police.
Additionally, the Nursing Staff Branch of Mental Health of PASYDY is raising the alarm about Athalassa Hospital, calling the infrastructure inadequate and demanding immediate security measures.
