Larnaca: New Details Emerge in Torture Case of 48-year-old

Shocking new details have emerged in the case of a 48-year-old allegedly involved in torture in the Larnaca area. The 48-year-old and a 27-year-old appeared before the Larnaca District Court on Sunday, facing 14 charges. The court approved the renewal of their detention for five days.
The charges include conspiracy to commit a felony and misdemeanor, illegal possession of a firearm, abduction, causing grievous bodily harm, carrying a knife, and possession of weapons to incite terror. The offenses allegedly took place in July 2025.
According to police, one of the victims reported being forced to transfer his vehicle under threat. Authorities have taken statements from victims, witnesses, and family members. Investigations are ongoing to locate additional victims, accomplices, and weapons.
Police are also searching for video footage and conducting DNA tests. Private clinics and hospitals are also being examined to determine if the victims received medical care.
