Larnaca: Shots Fired During Chase, 25-Year-Old Arrested

A 25-year-old was arrested by police in the Dromolaxia area of Larnaca following a chase and warning shots.

According to the police, around midnight, members of the Kiti Police Station spotted a suspicious parked vehicle in a rural area. The driver of the vehicle attempted to escape, colliding with a police vehicle.

Warning shots were fired. After the vehicle was stopped, it was found that the driver was a 25-year-old resident of Larnaca, who attacked the police officers and was arrested.

A search of the vehicle revealed 93 grams of cannabis, a small amount of cocaine, four cartridges, and a knife. Two police officers were taken to Larnaca General Hospital for first aid.

The 25-year-old is expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court.
