Larnaca: Suspects in Bloody Incident Appear in Court

The five suspects arrested in connection with the bloody incident in Larnaca on Saturday, January 17, are expected to appear in court in a separate procedure from the two businessmen.

The suspects face charges of participating in a criminal organization, conspiracy, extortion, and money laundering from illegal activities, offenses allegedly committed between 2023 and 2025.

On January 22, 2026, arrest and search warrants were issued. During searches of the suspects' homes, €1,050, jewelry, mobile phones, two bulletproof vests, replica pistols, and a collapsible baton were seized. Two vehicles were also confiscated.

One of the detainees, aged 22, was arrested at the Central Prisons, where he is already being held as a defendant. Another was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.

The arrested individuals are expected to appear today before the Larnaca District Court.
