Larnaca: 36-Year-Old Arrested for Hostage Situation

Photographic material obtained by philenews shows the arrest of a 36-year-old from Cameroon who held two African women hostage in an apartment in Larnaca.

The 36-year-old threatened the two women, aged 35 and 40, with a knife. The police intervened and released them.

Members of the Anti-Terrorism Squad participated in the operation. An officer from TAE Larnaca negotiated with the perpetrator, who eventually released the hostages. The women, in a state of shock, were taken to the hospital.

The perpetrator was taken to TAE Larnaca for questioning.
