Larnaca: Apartment Complex Brawl – 26-Year-Old Arrested

A 26-year-old has been arrested in Larnaca in connection with the injury of an Indian man in an apartment building on 23/8. The injured man sustained a laceration to his right shoulder and is hospitalized but out of danger.

The 26-year-old was arrested for residing illegally in Cyprus since 20/6/2024. Police have identified one of the perpetrators, a compatriot of the victim, and are proceeding with the issuance of an arrest warrant. A second Indian perpetrator is also being sought.

A 66-year-old Cypriot man was slightly injured while trying to defuse the situation. Investigations are continuing by the TAE Larnaca.

According to the Police, the 26-year-old was attacked by two individuals in the apartment building where he resides. Authorities are investigating claims that the incident is related to family disputes in India. A sickle was found and is being examined as a possible weapon in the attack.
