Larnaca: Arrested for Fraud, Assaulted Police Officer

A 57-year-old man was arrested in Larnaca for fraud, allegedly forging a power of attorney and selling real estate that did not belong to him.

According to the Cyprus Times, during his transfer to the Larnaca TAE offices, the detainee attacked and assaulted a police officer, leading to his re-arrest.

This incident adds to a series of attacks against police officers that have increased recently. The suspect is expected to appear in court today on charges of fraud, forgery, and assault against a police officer.
