Larnaca: Suspect Released Due to 3-Minute Delay – Appeal Filed

The Legal Service has filed an appeal against the decision of the Larnaca District Court to release a 29-year-old woman who was arrested as a suspect for various offenses.

The 29-year-old, employed as a private security guard at the court, allegedly leaked CCTV footage from the courthouse. The videos, found in the possession of a 29-year-old in custody, recorded the transfer of suspects in the Pyla attempted murder on August 14.

The court decided to release the 29-year-old because she was brought before the court three minutes after the 24-hour period from her arrest had expired.
