Limassol: 44-Year-Old Attacked Police Officer, Drugs and Stun Gun Found

A targeted police operation in Limassol resulted in arrests and complaints. During the operation, which took place from midnight until 5 am, checks were carried out on vehicles and individuals, as well as alcohol tests.
In total, 39 complaints were made for traffic offenses, four cars and nine motorcycles were detained. Three people were arrested for offenses related to drugs, assaulting a police officer, and possession of an offensive weapon.
Specifically, a small quantity of drugs was found in the possession of a 19-year-old, while a stun gun was found in a vehicle belonging to a 45-year-old. In addition, a 44-year-old motorcycle driver attacked a police officer after being stopped for traffic violations.
Police checks continue island-wide, aiming to prevent and combat crime.
