Limassol: 83-Year-Old Admits to Arson in Dymes

An 83-year-old man has admitted to causing a fire in the Dymes area of Limassol province. The fire broke out on Tuesday [22/07] around 1:30 PM, burning approximately six decares of land, including pine trees, wild vegetation, and cultivated land with fruit-bearing trees.
According to the Fire Service and the Department of Forests, the fire was caused by the 83-year-old's attempt to cut sheet metal using an electric emery grinder. He confessed to the act during interrogation by the Police.
The 83-year-old was charged in writing, and the Agros Police Station is continuing the investigation.
