Limassol: Raid on Premises β Foreigners Working Without Permits

The Cyprus Police have intensified efforts to combat illegal employment and residence in Cyprus, with a coordinated operation in the Limassol province.
According to an announcement, members of the Aliens and Immigration Service (YAM) conducted checks on premises and construction sites from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.
During the operation, nine third-country nationals were arrested for working illegally without the necessary permits. Additionally, it was found that three of the arrested individuals were illegally residing in Cyprus.
The employers of those arrested are also facing investigation for illegal employment. Police stations of Polemidia, Agios Ioannis, Germasogeia, and the Limassol Central Police Station are continuing the investigations.
