Limassol: Robbery at 86-Year-Old's House β Residents Tied Up

A robbery occurred at the house of an 86-year-old in Limassol, with the perpetrators speaking the Cypriot dialect. According to the police, three hooded men broke into the house around 23:35, after breaking a balcony door.
The perpetrators gagged and tied up the 34-year-old domestic helper from the Philippines. They then immobilized the elderly owner. As stated by Kostas Michael, Head of TAE Limassol, the perpetrators stole approximately 1,500 euros and various valuables.
The money was in a locked drawer in the elderly woman's bedroom. The robbers also destroyed two mobile phones belonging to the domestic helper. Police collected evidence and security camera footage to identify the perpetrators. Investigations are ongoing.
