Limassol: Police Protection for Businessman After Arson Attacks and Threats

Police have taken measures to protect a well-known businessman in Limassol following a series of arson attacks and threats. The businessman, who owns a liquor store in the Germasogeia area, had been targeted in the past, with his luxury vehicles set on fire in November.
According to Kostas Michael, Head of Limassol CID, the police have conducted a risk assessment and increased patrols around the businessman's home and businesses. This comes in response to the recent arson attack on his liquor store, where unknown individuals caused damage to the store entrance using flammable material.
Authorities are also investigating a possible connection to a previous attack on the businessman's vehicles in Mouttagiaka. In addition, the businessman's relationship with the murdered Stavros Demosthenous is being examined. According to information from the Cyprus Times, the businessman reportedly told the police that he had received threats.
Investigations by Limassol CID are ongoing to identify the perpetrators.
