Limassol: 26-Year-Old Arrested for Betting Shop Theft

A 26-year-old man was arrested yesterday by the Police in Limassol, wanted in connection with a theft that occurred on July 20th at a betting shop. The case is being investigated by the Limassol CID.

According to the Police, the 26-year-old allegedly stole 2,074 euros from the betting shop's till while the employee was outside. Photos of the suspect were released on July 21, 2025.

A citizen recognized the 26-year-old from the photos and informed the Police. Members of the Limassol Rapid Response Unit located and arrested the suspect. A court warrant was issued for his arrest.

The Police thanked the public for their assistance in locating the suspect.
