Limassol: 33-Year-Old Arrested for Drugs and Attacking Police Officers

Police arrested a 33-year-old man in Limassol yesterday, facing charges of illegal possession of narcotics with intent to supply, causing disturbance, assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest.

According to the police announcement, around 7:30 p.m., officers on patrol in the city signaled a cyclist to stop for a check. The cyclist tried to escape but fell off his bicycle and continued running. The police managed to intercept and arrest him.

During the search, 26 packages of cannabis (20 grams), 19 packages of methamphetamine (9 grams), and €442 were found in his possession. The 33-year-old was detained, while YKAN and the Agios Ioannis Police Station continue the investigations.
