Limassol: 33-Year-Old Arrested for Drugs and Assaulting Police Officers

Police arrested a 33-year-old man in Limassol yesterday for illegal possession of drugs, causing disturbance, assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest.

According to the police announcement, yesterday evening, officers signaled a cyclist to stop for inspection. The cyclist tried to flee but was apprehended nearby.

During the search, authorities found 26 packages of cannabis (20 grams), 19 packages of methamphetamine (9 grams), and €442 in his possession.

The 33-year-old was detained, and investigations are ongoing by YKAN and the Agios Ioannis Police Station.
