Significant developments in the Limassol arson case, with the detention of the 28-year-old, the third suspect, for eight days. The 28-year-old is allegedly a partner with the 33-year-old, also a suspect, in a coffee shop in Nicosia, which was targeted by arson in March 2024.

According to the evidence presented in court, the 28-year-old is involved in three of the four arsons, with a specific role in each. Police are awaiting the lifting of telecommunications data and the taking of genetic material, while an economic investigation is underway to determine the motives behind the criminal acts.

The 28-year-old's lawyer objected to the detention, but the court rejected it. Police are looking for a large-capacity motorcycle used in three of the four arsons.

59 depositions have been taken and dozens of CCTV footage are being examined.
