Limassol: Fatal Accident Claims Life of 74-Year-Old

A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Limassol District, claiming the life of a 74-year-old truck driver. The accident happened around 14:15 when the tanker truck driven by Sotiris Trigkis, a resident of Limassol, veered off course and overturned at the entrance of Amiantos village.

According to the police, the tanker, which was loaded with water, swerved to the left on a bend, collided with a concrete wall and a telecommunications pole, and eventually overturned. The driver was extricated by the Fire Service and taken to Kyperounta Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police are investigating the causes of the accident.
