Nicosia: Drug Search Uncovers Two Individuals Illegally Residing in Cyprus

A police raid on an apartment in Nicosia, aimed at finding drugs, led to the arrest of two individuals for illegally residing in the Republic of Cyprus.

During the search, which took place yesterday, a 34-year-old was found to be residing illegally in the country. In addition, two nylon bags containing a crystalline substance, weighing 80 grams, as well as precision scales and zip-lock bags were found.

The 34-year-old was arrested for illegal possession and possession with intent to supply a Class A controlled drug. A second person, who was also in the apartment, was arrested for illegal residence.

The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Service (YKAN) - Nicosia Branch.
