Larnaca Standoff Ends: Women Freed, Perpetrator Arrested

The incident in Larnaca has ended, with police negotiators successfully freeing two women held by a man threatening them with a knife.

Around 3:30 PM, police responded to an incident in an apartment building in Larnaca, where a man came out onto the balcony of an apartment shouting and making threats while holding a knife.

The scene was cordoned off, and the incident was handled by police negotiators. After talks, the perpetrator agreed to drop the knife.

Police officers arrested the perpetrator, who was taken to the Larnaca CID offices for further investigation. The two women were safely removed from the scene and taken to a hospital for medical examinations as a precaution.
