16 Migrants Transferred to 'Pournara' – Nine Arrests in Peristerona

Sixteen irregular migrants were transferred to the 'Pournara' reception center after being located in Peristerona by the Police. Nine individuals were also arrested for assisting and trafficking irregular migrants.

According to the police, the 16 migrants, eight of whom were minors, were found on Thursday evening. In the same area, three vehicles with nine occupants were arrested for the crime of migrant smuggling. The detainees are expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court.

The Morfou Crime Investigation Department is conducting investigations.
