New Complaints Surface Regarding TAKATA Airbag Accidents

Two new complaints regarding accidents caused by defective TAKATA airbags have come to light. According to Mechanical Engineer and Traffic Accident Expert, Andreas Tziirkallis, TAKATA airbags exploded in two more traffic accidents.

Mr. Tziirkallis spoke to SigmaLive about one of the two people involved in the accidents. In one accident, the wife of a complainant was involved, which occurred on January 24, 2023, the same day as the death of Kyriakos Oxinos due to TAKATA airbags. During the airbag deployment, pieces of iron were ejected, injuring her.

After two years, the complainant received a letter to replace the airbag, as his vehicle was on the list of recalled vehicles with TAKATA airbags. Similar incidents had occurred in the families of Styliani Giorgalli and Alexandros Lougos.
