South Korea: Fugitive Arrested for Fraud After Littering Cigarette Butt

A man wanted for multi-million euro fraud was arrested in South Korea after littering a cigarette butt. The 60-year-old had an outstanding warrant for cryptocurrency fraud.
The arrest occurred near a train station in Seoul when the man violated littering laws. Police became suspicious when the man attempted to bribe them to let him go.
During interrogation, it was discovered that the man was wanted for a cryptocurrency fraud amounting to 17.7 billion won (approximately 11 million euros) affecting 1,300 people. Last year, South Korean police arrested over 200 people for a similar fraud.
