Driver Admits Charges After Crashing Into Kalavasos Cafe

A 53-year-old man has admitted to the charges against him following an incident on August 12th, where his vehicle crashed into a cafe in Kalavasos. The man subsequently left the scene.
The case was heard at the Larnaca District Court. The charges against the 53-year-old include careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, refusing to take a preliminary breathalyzer test, driving a motor vehicle while it was immobilized, and driving without insurance.
The court set September 15th as the date for the reading of the facts and sentencing. The 53-year-old signed a guarantee of 5,000 euros and had his driver's license revoked until the same date.
According to the Police, the driver lost control of his vehicle near the Kalavasos roundabout and crashed into the storefront of a cafe. He was later found at the Zygi marina. He refused to provide a sample for a breathalyzer test and was arrested.
