Paphos: 3.5-Year Prison Sentence for 30-Year-Old for Theft

The Paphos District Court sentenced a 30-year-old woman to 3.5 years in prison for burglary, theft, and malicious damage.
The 30-year-old entered a residence in Paphos and stole property worth €30,340, including jewelry and money. The owner noticed her presence and notified her husband, who immobilized her.
During her detention, the defendant claimed that the money did not all belong to the couple. In addition, she caused damage to a vehicle, amounting to €800.
Lawyer Κώστας Σιαηλής mentioned the difficulties in the defendant's life, but the Judge stressed that personal difficulties do not justify criminal behavior.
The defendant has been convicted seven times in the past for similar offenses.
