Paphos: 53-year-old loses over €434,000 in cryptocurrency scam

The Cyber Crime Sub-Directorate is investigating a fraud case where a 53-year-old resident of Paphos lost €434,890.

According to the complaint, between April 2024 and January 2025, an unknown person persuaded the 53-year-old to invest in cryptocurrencies. The victim sent a total of $508,893 (€434,890) to various bank accounts and electronic wallets before realizing he had been scammed.
