Paphos: 56-Year-Old Victim of Online Scam – Loses €2000

A 56-year-old resident of Paphos has fallen victim to an online scam, losing €2000. According to his report, he received a message on his mobile phone regarding an unpaid traffic fine.

After following the link in the message and entering personal and banking details, the amount was found to have been withdrawn from his account. Paphos CID is investigating.

The Police are warning the public to be careful with suspicious messages and not to enter personal details on unknown websites.
