Paphos: 47-Year-Old Severely Beaten for Refusing to Pay for Windshield Wipers

A 47-year-old man was seriously injured in Timi, Paphos, after attempting to defend a woman who refused to pay for the replacement of her car's windshield wipers.

According to the Police, foreigners replaced the woman's vehicle's windshield wipers without her permission and demanded payment. When the woman refused and asked for the original wipers to be reinstalled, the perpetrators refused.

The 47-year-old intervened to help the woman, resulting in a violent assault. He suffered a severe nasal fracture and an injury to his right eye and was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for surgery.

Police are investigating the incident and searching for the perpetrators. The incident occurred at the Timi market.
