Paphos: Man Attempts to Set His Car on Fire Over Mechanic Dispute

Police in Paphos are investigating an attempted arson. A foreign resident of Tala allegedly tried to set his car on fire due to a dispute with a mechanic over repair costs.

According to police, the owner had taken the vehicle in for a mechanical problem and disagreed with the fee. Residents witnessed the suspect attempting the arson and stopped him. The suspect fled, but police issued an arrest warrant against him.

Investigations are ongoing.
