Paphos: Jail for 26-Year-Old Who Hit and Killed 33-Year-Old

A 26-year-old man has been sentenced to imprisonment for a fatal road collision in Paphos in November 2023. The Paphos District Court found him guilty of causing the death of Goga Partsvania, 33, from Georgia.
The 26-year-old was convicted of causing death by reckless action and leaving the scene of the accident. He received prison sentences of 12 and 14 months, to be served concurrently, as well as a 12-month driving ban and 8 penalty points.
The accident occurred on November 5, 2023, on Ikarou Street, when Goga Partsvania was hit by a passing car while crossing the road on foot. The driver left the scene but later turned himself in to the police.
