Cyprus Police Checks: 101 Complaints, 46 Drivers Under the Influence

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive checks across the island to prevent criminal activities and ensure public order.

During the checks, two individuals were arrested, one for driving under the influence of alcohol and one for public insult. A total of 591 drivers and passengers were checked.

35 checks were carried out on establishments, resulting in 6 complaints for underage entry and violations related to sound emission permits.

In traffic controls, 101 complaints were made for various traffic violations, including 46 complaints for driving under the influence of alcohol. 7 vehicles were detained.

Police operations continue daily to prevent and suppress crime.
