Cyprus Police Conducts Island-Wide Checks: Arrests and Vehicle Seizures

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive checks across the island, aimed at preventing crime and enhancing public safety.
During the operations, two individuals were arrested for offenses including illegal possession of narcotics and illegal stay in the Republic of Cyprus.
446 checks were carried out on drivers and vehicles, as well as 32 checks on premises. Traffic controls resulted in 133 complaints for violations, with 35 related to speeding. In addition, 12 traffic cases and 4 complaints for driving under the influence of alcohol were recorded, following 68 alcohol checks. 11 vehicles were detained.
Police operations continue with increased presence and targeted checks.
