Patras: Father's Heartbreak After 7-Year-Old Hit by Motorcycle

A father in Patras is expressing his grief after his 7-year-old daughter, Maria, was hit by a motorcycle, resulting in the fatal injury of a 71-year-old woman. The accident occurred in the southern park, near Maximou Street.

In a social media post, the father described the tragic event and expressed his sorrow. "This is the blood of my daughter and the unfortunate grandmother, who sacrificed her life to save my seven-year-old daughter," he wrote.

According to the father, the 71-year-old woman, a neighbor and friend of the family, protected young Maria with her body when they were hit by the motorcycle. The woman died instantly, while the 7-year-old suffered fractures.

The motorcycle driver has been arrested. The father of the 7-year-old has asked anyone with information about the driver to contact him.

Witnesses report that the motorcycle driver ran a red light and was speeding. After the collision, the motorcycle was found 150 meters away from the accident site.
