Penteli: Worker Arrested for Using Cutting Wheel Near Forest

A foreign worker was arrested by officers of the Directorate for Combating Arson Crimes in Penteli for using an electric cutting wheel near a forest area. The arrest was made under the in-flagrante procedure, given that hot work is prohibited due to the extreme risk of fire in Attica (index 5 – Alert Status).

According to the fire department, the man was using an electric wood and metal cutting wheel, despite the ban on hot work during a fire alert.
