Warning: Fraudulent emails using gov.cy logo

The Department of Taxation warns of fraudulent emails using the logo of the Government Portal «gov.cy». These messages urge citizens to scan a QR code to receive a VAT refund.

It is noted that the communication email address used is incorrect and refers to the new Tax For All (TFA) Computer System.

The Department of Taxation urges citizens to ignore such messages and reminds them that VAT refunds are made only via bank transfer to a bank account. The Department of Taxation communicates only through addresses ending in @tax.mof.gov.cy.
