The Cyprus Police is warning about scams perpetrated through fake messages regarding the payment of traffic violations. These messages are sent via social media websites and mobile phones, directing recipients to click on links for alleged payments.

The Police emphasize that they do NOT communicate in this manner and urge citizens to be especially cautious. Specifically, it is recommended to NOT open suspicious links and to NOT provide personal or banking information.

To pay traffic fines, individuals can visit the website of the contractor company (www.CyCameraSystem.com.cy) or the Police website (www.police.gov.cy) and follow the instructions.
