Protaras: Arrests for Assault with Knuckle Duster on 31-Year-Old

Police arrested two young individuals, ages 19 and 17, on Sunday in connection with a case of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in the Protaras area of Famagusta.

According to a police statement, the arrests were made based on court warrants. The suspects have been detained for further investigation.

The case concerns an attack that took place last Thursday, August 21, when a 31-year-old man was attacked by a colleague at his workplace in Protaras. The assailant allegedly punched the victim in the face, possibly using a knuckle duster.

The 31-year-old suffered an orbital fracture and lacerations and received treatment at Famagusta General Hospital.

The case is being investigated by the Famagusta TAE (CID).
