Limassol Fire: US Experts to Investigate

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, has invited US experts to prepare a comprehensive report on the deadly fire in mountainous Limassol. The aim is to enhance the country's effectiveness in dealing with natural disasters.

The team of American experts, from the ATF service, is expected to cooperate with the Police, Fire Department, Civil Defense, and the Department of Forests. Their investigation focuses on the initial source of the fire, in order to determine whether it was caused by criminal activity or an accident.

Deputy government spokesman, Giannis Antoniou, stated that the experts already have data from American satellites. The government aims to prevent the recurrence of similar disasters in the future.

The ATF service is considered one of the most specialized fire investigation teams in the world.
