Fire at Nicosia Elementary School, Classrooms Affected

A fire broke out on Saturday afternoon in a fenced area of the Lykavitos Elementary School in Nicosia, where work was in progress.

According to Fire Department spokesperson Andreas Kettis, four fire trucks responded to the scene and brought the fire under control. The fire appears to have started from polystyrene intended for thermal insulation.

The fire externally affected the paint of two classrooms. The causes of the fire will be investigated in cooperation with the Police.
