Apartment Building Fire in Old Nicosia, One Injured

A fire broke out in an apartment building in old Nicosia near Ledras Street this morning. According to the Fire Service, the fire started in a ground-floor apartment and spread to two other apartments.

One person was found with severe burns and was taken to Nicosia General Hospital. Two more people were found on the roof, having inhaled smoke.

The apartment where the fire started was completely destroyed, while the other two ground-floor apartments suffered extensive damage. The causes of the fire are being investigated by the Fire Service and the Police.
