Sweeping Police Checks Across Cyprus: Dozens of Drunk Drivers

Police conducted sweeping checks across Cyprus last night, aimed at preventing criminal activity and ensuring public order.

A total of 916 vehicles were stopped and 1,231 individuals were checked. 38 premises were also inspected, resulting in nine complaints.

During traffic controls, 492 complaints were filed, including 33 for driving under the influence of alcohol. A total of 341 alcohol tests were conducted, and ten vehicles were impounded.

Police operations continue daily to prevent and suppress crime.
