Savvides: Be wary of false claims on social media

Attorney General Giorgos L. Savvides, in a video message to new lawyers, urged them to be wary of false claims circulating on social media.

Mr. Savvides emphasized that public discourse is often flooded with misinformation and fake news, urging new lawyers to keep their distance and judge with clarity.

He also referred to the importance of safeguarding the Rule of Law as a guarantee of democracy and rights, as well as the anthropocentric nature of the legal profession.

The Attorney General encouraged new lawyers to pursue higher goals and not be influenced by bleak situations presented selectively.
