Souda Bay: Photos of Aircraft Carrier, Navy Seals Found on Pole's Phone

A 58-year-old Polish man has been detained in custody after being arrested in Crete for espionage. Photos of the Souda Bay naval base were found on his mobile phone.

According to SKAI, the 58-year-old had photographed the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, support ships, fighter and transport aircraft, flying tankers, US intelligence gathering aircraft, and a Navy Seals operations vessel.

The Polish man was arrested last Thursday in the Marathi area, where he lived in a caravan. Authorities are examining the electronic devices found in the caravan. According to creta24.gr, the 58-year-old had been visiting the area for the past three years and parked in a spot overlooking Souda Bay.
