57-Year-Old Arrested for Carrying Knife to Detention Center in Famagusta

Police arrested a 57-year-old man today after a knife was found in a bag of clothing intended for a detainee at a police detention center.

According to police reports, around 9:50 a.m., the 57-year-old visited the detention center in the Famagusta district to deliver the bag. During the search, a knife with an 8.5 cm blade was discovered.

The 57-year-old was arrested and is expected to appear before the Famagusta District Court tomorrow. The Paralimni Police Station is investigating the case.
