Cypriots Arrested in Occupied Territories: Charges Filed, Decision Pending

The occupying "authorities" have filed charges against 5 citizens of the Republic of Cyprus who were arrested in the occupied territories on Saturday. The charges include violation of a "military zone," "illegal entry," and "property encroachment."
The "prosecuting authority" requested an eight-day extension of their "detention," which the defense lawyer objected to. The "court" adjourned to issue its decision at 14:30.
The charges also include "causing public nuisance" and "violation of the law on personal data protection." The proceedings are being monitored by the families of the detainees and UNFICYP officials.
According to Turkish Cypriot and Turkish media, the five citizens were allegedly conducting land measurements and recording near the occupied Trikomo area.
